Did you know Convicted Cameron County DA Villalobos Had Security Business with Prior City of Kyle Councilman Villalobos?

On May 6, 1992, Armando Villalobos who was the prior District Attorney in Cameron County until he was convicted of racketeering activities and prior City of Kyle Councilman Alexander Villalobos founded an incorporation called Intrepid Intel Research.

Prior to Alex Villalobos being elected to represent the City of Kyle, he was under investigation for using a database for law enforcement only, to look up people in the Cameron County area. These records searches occurred during 2012 through 2013.

Although, on July 25, 2018, a Retired Police Chief named Ralph C. Meyers claims the search’s were performed in a third party search engine:

Alex Villalobos claimed the company performed various services; to include, crime scene investigations, modify videos, copy videos, skip tracings, search databases, conduct surveillance, perform background checks, and other tasks.

Since May 2, 1996, an address on McKinney Street in Dallas, Texas has been used for the business. The Registered Agent was always listed as Armando R. Villalobos.

The company has been around for many years and on August 5, 2019, it appears the company was dissolved.

It seems the Registered Agent’s address was not used in the paperwork to dissolve the company. An address in McAllen was used; as well as, one in Kyle.

The form dated December 31, 2019 lists the McKinney Ave address in Dallas, Texas as the location for the registered agent or registered office; however, the registered agent is incarcerated and the office is probably not located on McKinney Ave and probably has not been for many years.

We also have questions about retired Chief Meyers statement, as it relates to third party searches, as an open records release from the Hays County Government shows two Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS) reports being ran in conjunction with the third party searches. All searches appear to be in the Cameron County area and for the years 2012 through 2013.

We attempted to look for the business in the Texas Online Private Security (TOPS) database but were unable to find it or any of its members registered for a license for private investigations.

It seems Armando and Alexander Villalobos were more than half-brothers and they had a business relationship. A relationship that appears to have influence the use of the business for personal gain of public office.

UPDATE: The Texas Department of Public Safety have received a complaint on the Villalobos for suspicions of running an unlicensed private investigations company. The agency confirmed there will be an investigation.
