A former telecommunications operator who worked for multiple local police agencies has been indicted in Bexar County on child sex abuse and child pornography-related charges, according to court records. Aracili Garcia was indicted June 17, 2026, in the 227th District Court. The case is listed as a felony case and is currently awaiting trial. Court records show Garcia is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, a first-degree felony, along with multiple counts of possession with intent to promote child pornography, listed as second-degree felonies.  

Employment records show where she worked during key dates

Public licensing records show Garcia previously worked as a telecommunications operator, commonly known as a dispatcher, for three area police agencies. She worked for the San Antonio Police Department from July 2, 2020, to Aug. 13, 2021. She then worked for the Helotes Police Department from Jan. 21, 2022, to Jan. 4, 2023. Records also show she worked for the Live Oak Police Department from Feb. 8, 2023, to Jan. 30, 2024.

Several alleged offense dates overlap with Helotes Police employment

The first listed offense date in the court record is Dec. 23, 2021, for the continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 charge. Based on the employment records reviewed, that date falls after Garcia’s employment with the San Antonio Police Department ended and before her employment with Helotes Police Department began. However, the child pornography-related counts listed for Dec. 23, 2022, Dec. 25, 2022, and Dec. 27, 2022, fall during the period when Garcia was employed as a telecommunications operator with the Helotes Police Department.

Other alleged dates fall between agencies, then one overlaps with Live Oak

Court records also list alleged offense dates on Jan. 23, 2023, Jan. 26, 2023, Feb. 3, 2023, and Feb. 5, 2023. Based on the licensing records shown, those dates fall after Garcia’s Helotes Police Department employment ended on Jan. 4, 2023, and before her Live Oak Police Department employment began on Feb. 8, 2023. The final listed alleged offense date, Feb. 24, 2023, falls during Garcia’s employment with the Live Oak Police Department. That does not mean the alleged conduct happened while she was on duty or using agency equipment, but it does show that at least some of the alleged timeline overlaps with her employment in public safety communications.  

Court records show bond conditions and a pending case

Garcia was arrested in October 2025, and the case was later indicted by a grand jury in June 2026, according to court records. The court record lists a $150,000 bond, GPS-related bond conditions, a no-contact order and a restriction on firearm possession. The record also shows a future status conference set in the case. Garcia is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
