1st Amendment Auditor Arrested on Child Porn Charges

The City of Kirby, Kirby Police Department has announced the arrest of Jack Edward Miller, a local auditor known as the Texas Sheepdog. According to a news release on May 24, 2024, the Kirby Police Department, with the assistance of multiple outside agencies, executed search and arrest warrants in the 4800 block of Dick Gordon Street in Kirby, Texas on March 22, 2024.

During the investigation stemming from the March 22, 2024 incident, Homeland Security Investigators located images of child pornography. Following this significant discovery, the Kirby Police Department requested further assistance from Homeland Security and the Texas Rangers to take over the case.

On May 24, 2024, the Texas Rangers executed an arrest warrant for possession or promotion of child pornography, a second-degree felony. Miller was taken into custody without incident. According to the Bexar County Central Magistrate, the arrest occurred at approximately 6:43 A.M. Miller has not been arraigned at the time of this publishing.

This case has garnered substantial attention due to Miller’s prominence as the Texas Sheepdog, a figure known for his auditing activities and public interactions with law enforcement. The investigation, marked by close cooperation between local and federal agencies, highlights the seriousness of the charges. UPDATE: At 12:05 P.M. Miller had his bond set at $150,000.
