A Corpus Christi Police Department officer was arrested after an internal investigation led to criminal charges, though court records detailing the allegations were not immediately available at the time of publication.

Internal Investigation and Arrest Warrants

According to a Corpus Christi Police Daily Blotter entry dated December 12, 2025, the Corpus Christi Police Department initiated both an internal and criminal investigation into Officer Travis Haecker after receiving a complaint alleging the theft of non-city funds.

Following the investigation, evidence was presented to the Nueces County District Attorney’s Office for review. After evaluating the findings, prosecutors authorized three warrants of arrest. CCPD later updated the blotter to state that Haecker turned himself in to Kendall County authorities.

Records from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office show Haecker was booked into the Kendall County jail on December 12, 2025, at approximately 8:12 p.m., and released later that same day.

The charges listed at booking include theft from a person, credit or debit card abuse, and misapplication of fiduciary or financial property, with the alleged amount listed between $750 and $2,500. Bond was set across the three cases at a combined total exceeding $127,000.

All charges are allegations only. Haecker is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

A review of records maintained by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) shows Haecker currently holds an active peace officer license. TCOLE records list his employment with the Corpus Christi Police Department beginning in February 2020 and continuing through the present.

His prior law-enforcement service includes employment with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, where he served as a jailer before joining CCPD.
