Christina Marie Lichtenberg, a Live Oak–based social media activist known for posting videos critical of city officials, was arrested January 30, 2026, on a charge alleging unlawful disclosure of a residence address or telephone number, according to police and jail records. Lichtenberg was taken into custody by the Live Oak Police Department and transported to the Bexar County Adult Detention Center. Records show she was booked that afternoon and released the following morning on a $1,500 surety bond. Court records also reflect a no-contact condition, though the scope of that restriction has not been made public.
The arrest comes after months of online activity in which Lichtenberg publicly documented disputes with City of Live Oak officials and described efforts to report alleged wrongdoing.
Online Presence and Public Role
Lichtenberg operates a TikTok account under the name “texaswatchdogs,” which is largely focused on Live Oak city government. Her videos frequently address city meetings, public records issues, and interactions with city staff. The account links to a Live Oak–branded website and includes donation links connected to local causes.
She has also sought elected office. In 2024, Lichtenberg ran for Place 5 on the Cibolo City Council, identifying herself during the campaign as a small business owner and veteran and emphasizing accountability in local government.
Video Showing Attempt to File Complaint
In one video posted to her TikTok account, Lichtenberg recorded an interaction in which she attempted to report what she said was criminal conduct by City of Live Oak officials. In the video, she explains that she was told the matter should be directed to the Texas Attorney General’s Office, but that the Attorney General’s Office would require a police report before taking action. According to Lichtenberg’s account in the video, city staff indicated they could not take a crime report because the allegations involved the city itself. During the recorded exchange, a city official acknowledges that the city does not investigate itself.
The official further explains that city staff could not take possession of Lichtenberg’s documents as part of a report, stating that doing so would mean the city was holding evidence related to allegations against its own officials. The official says the information could still be documented, but not formally reported by the city as a criminal matter. At another point in the exchange, the official tells Lichtenberg that a case number could be generated so she could provide it to the Attorney General’s Office, which could then request the information directly from the city. The official later reiterates that the city could not accept a crime report because the allegations were about city officials.
Details of the Arrest
Police said the January arrest followed a complaint from a citizen alleging they were the victim of doxing, a term commonly used to describe the public sharing of private personal information. We have not received details about what information was allegedly disclosed, how it was shared, or when the alleged conduct occurred.
Court records show the case has been filed in County Court-at-Law No. 9 and is awaiting further proceedings, with an arraignment scheduled for early March.
Prior Guadalupe County Case
Public records show Lichtenberg was previously arrested in Guadalupe County in 2025 on a misdemeanor charge involving alleged cruelty to non-livestock animals. That case remains pending, with additional court settings scheduled later this year.
