Is the San Antonio Police Officer Association in Violation of Federal Election Code?

In review of the San Antonio Police Officer Association Political Actions Committee website, we have questions to the validation of status of the PAC because it seems to endorse a Federal Candidate for Office.

So, we did some research and found the PAC to be “terminated,” from Federal Elections Commission (FEC):

A review of historic actions by the FEC, we found there to be violations of Code in the past, and it can be found here: Unauthorized Disbursement of Committee Funds

So, we decided to take a look at some of the expenses for one recent period of time, for the PAC on the Texas Elections Commission website. It turns out, the funds are rarely donated to campaigns, but rather for expenses of food, lodging, and other matters (which may or may not be legal) seem to strike at wasting donations of hard earned money for a purpose one may not realize when he or she is donating.

So, is the PAC doing the right thing? Is it doing the right thing with SAPOA members money? What are your thoughts?
